ASHE region 10 energy efficiency commitment (E2C)

Improving the Energy Wellness of our Region

As Steve Grose mentioned at last week’s OSHE conference, ASHE Region 10, NEEA’S BetterBricks initiative and your local utility would like to personally invite you to register for the ASHE Region 10 E2C campaign! We are very excited about the opportunity to work together to improve the energy performance of hospital facilities as a region and are committed to support your hard work with technical assistance, industry recognition and prizes!

Read below for steps on how to move your hospital through the process, and for details on upcoming ENERGY STAR Benchmarking trainings.

STEP 1:  Register!

The ASHE Region 10 E2C campaign is designed to include both facilities that are benchmarking for the first time and facilities that have already benchmarked. In addition to having access to tools and resources to help you reach your energy improvement goals, all registrants are eligible for great prizes and recognition for achievements!  The last date to register and benchmark is August 1st.

STEP 2:  Benchmark your hospital with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.

If you have already done this, please update your data to include utility billing data beginning January 1, 2009 through April 2010.  We will be using 2009 data as a baseline to track energy savings. If you haven't benchmarked your building, there are a number of ways to get started.  Sign up for the upcoming class,

                                      http://www.bomaportland.org

In this class you will learn everything you need to set up your ENERGY STAR account, and enter your data.  Space is limited so please sign up soon!  If you can't attend this class, you can learn the software online at the link below, and find webinars to teach you how:

STEP 3:  Make sure your data is up to date.

To move forward in the competition, we'll need benchmarking data for the entire calendar year 2009. We will also be continuing to benchmark through 2010.

STEP 4:  "Share" your ENERGY STAR data with ASHE Region 10 E2C Master Account

This will enable us to review your data, check for missing information and track our savings as a region.  Remember, this data will remain private among the competition staff - no specific building information will be released.

There is still time for new registrants - so encourage your friends in the industry to sign up! If you have any questions please contact, Carolyn Burleigh at ASHEregion10-E2C@nwalliance.org or 503-381-1095.
